On another forum I read very interesting news that I can't find on this one: that a new version of Papyrus "for writers" will be presented at the Frankfurter Buchmesse next week. Is this correct? And if yes, when will those among us who won't go to the Buchmesse - the overwhelming majority, I suppose - hear more about it?

No and yes 
We announced that the "Papyrus Author" will be finished around the Frankfurter Buchmesse (fair for and around books).
It will not be shown, there (because we do not have a booth ).
More info will come, soon - we tend to finish software, first, and THEN talk about it 
The rumours came from one author, the German bestseller author Andreas Eschbach (lots of his cool books are translated to English, as well), who already wrote something about his Papyrus Author beta, so we had to announce some minor starting info.
