Hello from Sweden,
Windows 8 Metro is soon coming and nobody knows how it will be received. At the same time Linux is getting better and better. It could mean a breaktrhough for Ubuntu 12 and Linux Mint 12. So, my question is if Papyrus for Linux will ever come. Having tried out Linux Mint 12, I must say that one of the few things that prevents me from moving to the Linux platform, at least on my laptop, is PAPYRUS from R.O.M. Logicware. One problem may be that Linux users tend to use free software. However if Linux will grow rapidly that could easily change.

(If Papyrus will not come for Linux, would it be possible to cooperate with the Wine project, to make Papyrus work with Wine? That could perhaps mean less work than making a totally new Papyrus version.)

Hello simpleman,
I'm already working with papyrus Autor on linux/wine (ubuntu 12), and it works quite good, although there are some problems still.

Thanks for the good suggestion! I installed Papyrus with wine in Linux Mint 12. And I was able to start Papyrus, still there were so many functions missing that I could not use it.

It would be interesting to know, which version of papyrus you installed and which functions didn't work. With Papyrus 5.10 I would say, that everything works with wine, but there are some problems still. At least I'm able to work with papyrus under wine all the time - and I have to write many things with it ...
